Keyword Search Tips

• Use multiple, specific words. This method will bring up the most documents.
  • geology earth science vs. geology

• Narrow your search by using quotation marks and commas to indicate the exact phrase(s) you want to find. Your results will contain only these exact phrases.
  • "scientific study of the earth"
  • "university of minnesota", "earth science"

• Use + to include individual words or phrases that must appear in the document. (NOTE: Use + instead of AND.)
  • geology + earth + science
  • "university of minnesota" + "earth science"
