Some scholarships are based on association with a cultural organization. Others may be gender specific.

Cultural

American Indian College Fund
Provides useful information on tribal colleges and scholarship opportunities for Native American students.

Financial Aid for Native American Students
Provides financial aid information for Native American students.

Hispanic College Fund
Provides useful information on scholarship opportunities for Hispanic students.

NCAA Scholarships and Internships
The NCAA offers a variety of scholarship and internship programs for ethnic minorities including the Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship Program and the Division III Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship Grant Program.

Resources for Undocumented Students
Learn about tuition policies, private scholarships and loans to help you pay for college.

The United Negro College Fund
Awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students attending a UNCF member college or university, including other historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and majority institutions. UNCF also supports faculty members through grants for research and dissertation completion.

Gender based

American Association of University Women
One of the world's largest sources of funding exclusively for graduate women, the Foundation supports aspiring scholars around the globe, teachers and activists in local communities, women at critical stages of their careers, and those pursuing professions where women are underrepresented.

Society of Women Engineers
National SWE scholarships available for freshmen, sophomore, juniors and seniors, graduate students and reentry students.

Talbots Women's Scholarship Fund
Scholarship awards are based primarily on financial need and previous achievements for women who earned their high school diploma or GED at least 10 years ago. Women seeking an undergraduate degree from an accredited two- or four-year college or university may apply.
