Here's a list of organizations that can help you get the services you need to find a job, and the support services you need while you're looking for a job. This list includes WorkForce Centers, Adult Basic Education locations, and community services.

Minnesota WorkForce Centers
WorkForce Centers (WFCs) are a collaboration of partners. These include the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), the Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council (SWMNPIC), and local community agencies. WorkForce centers are open to everyone. They provide services to assist in your job search. At a WorkForce center, you can find out where the jobs are. You'll have the resources you need to apply for those jobs.
- Job listings and placement
You'll find listings of local, state, and national jobs. You can also search online job listings through MinnesotaWorks.net. MinnesotaWorks.net is a free service for job seekers and employers. You can create an account, search job openings, apply online, and track jobs you’ve applied for. More than 175 jobs are listed every day as open and available in the Southwest Minnesota region. - Job search help and training
Looking to improve your job seeking skills? Need help building your resume? Minnesota WorkForce Centers and SWMNPIC both offer workshops and individualized training to help you market yourself successfully. - Education
Need help finding schools or training programs? WorkForce Center and SWMNPIC staff can guide you to information on a wide range of academic options and financial aid programs. - Resource center
Each WorkForce Center has computers with high-speed Internet connections and e-mail access, phones, fax machines, and printers. Knowledgeable staff are ready to guide you through all the steps of your job search and career planning process. - Veteran's services
Many state and federal programs exist to ensure that Minnesota veterans get specialized employment and training services. Minnesota's Veterans Employment Representatives work with local businesses and veterans. Veterans receive individualized orientation to WorkForce Center services. They also receive help finding veteran's programs and services throughout Minnesota. - Specialized services for the blind or disabled
WorkForce Centers have specialized programs for the blind or disabled. They work with job seekers so that a disability does not stand in the way of getting a good job. - Dislocated worker services
If you lost your job through no fault of your own, you may qualify for dislocated worker services. These provide educational opportunities, skills training, career counseling, and job placement assistance. - Child care
If you are in need of child care services during your job search, staff can make referrals to local child care resources. They have information on programs that can help pay child care costs for lower income families.

Adult Basic Education
Want to improve your skills for a better job, get your high school diploma, or gain the academic skills you need to go to college?
If you answered yes to any of the above and you are 16 or older, then Adult Basic Education (ABE) is for you. ABE offers:
- Basic skills classes
- GED preparation
- Computer classes
- Workforce preparation
- English as a second language (ESL)

MarshallThe Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers support and development services to businesses. It provides comprehensive information services and access to experts in many fields. SBDC provides one-on-one business counseling to entrepreneurs and offers services such as:
