Apprenticeship Resources
Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI), Apprenticeship Unit
This unit registers state apprenticeship programs for employers when a business decides it wants to train apprentices.
The unit also provides additional apprenticeship information and answers common questions on its Web site. It lists the occupations with current employer-sponsored apprenticeship programs, as well those that sponsored apprenticeship in the past. Placement is not guaranteed, but the list will show the types of programs used to train current apprentices.
To locate apprenticeship opportunities, contact employers or unions in your area. The Department of Labor and Industry does not assist in locating apprenticeship sponsors, but can answer questions about apprenticeship programs.
Call 651.284.5090 or 1.800.342.5354 or TTY: 651.297.4198 to speak with someone in the Apprenticeship Unit. You can also email (DLI.Apprenticeship@state.mn.us) or visit their Web site (www.doli.state.mn.us/appr.html) for more information.
