Minnesota's Dislocated Worker Program
Were you part of a large layoff? Was your company "downsizing?" You may be eligible for career development, job search, and other services.
Workers who lose a job may need some help returning to work.
Minnesota's Dislocated Worker program offers free services to help individuals find a new job — and help take the stress and uncertainty out of the process. Services are tailored to address an individual's specific needs. You may be eligible for this program if you are out of work through no fault of your own, eligible for Unemployment Insurance, and unlikely to return to your previous occupation or industry.
Fact sheets (available in English and 17 other languages), videos, links to unemployment insurance information, and dislocated worker service providers are available in this
section for workers affected by a layoff or pending layoff.
If you believe that foreign competition has been a factor in losing your job (or substantially reduced hours), you may be eligible for
additional benefits under the Trade Adjustment Act.
