Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI)
Works to advance the understanding of mechanisms underlying intelligent behavior and their embodiment in machines. It aims to increase public understanding of artificial intelligence.

American Management Association (AMA)
Advances the skills of individuals, teams, organizations, and government agencies through professional development. It also offers training programs for high school and college students.

ASIS International
Works to increase the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
Advances computing as a science and a profession. It provides its members with the field's premier digital library, leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources.

Association of IT Professionals (AITP) — Northwest Chapter
Provides a local, regional and national forum to obtain information about the field of information technology, learn about educational and career opportunities, and develop technology and business skills. It helps professionals who have similar interests stay connected with each other.

Computer Forensics World
Involved in the digital forensics industry. It provides an open resource, free for all to access and use.

Computer Security Institute (CSI)
Serves the needs of information security professionals through membership, educational events, security surveys and awareness tools. It provides a forum for security professionals to learn, share, and debate the latest thinking on security strategies and technologies.

Computing Research Association (CRA)
Strengthens research and advances education in the computing fields and expands opportunities for women and minorities. It also improves public and policymaker understanding of the importance of computing and computing research in society.

CompTIA
Advances the global interests of IT professionals and companies including manufacturers, distributors, resellers, and educational institutions.

High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA)
Designed to encourage, promote, aid, and affect the voluntary interchange of data, information, experience, ideas, and knowledge about methods, processes, and techniques relating to investigations and security in advanced technologies among its membership.

IEEE Computer Society
Works to advance the theory and application of computer and information-processing technology.

Internet Technical Group (ITG)
Creates a community for professionals from industry, academia, and government organizations who share a common interest in Internet technologies and related behavioral phenomena.

ISACA
Serves as a centralized source of information and guidance for IT professionals in more than 160 countries in information governance, control, security, and auditing. Its IS auditing and IS control standards are followed by practitioners worldwide.

Information Systems Security Association, Inc. (ISSA)
Provides educational forums, publications, and peer interaction opportunities to information security professionals and practitioners to enhance the knowledge, skill, and professional growth of its members.

League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA)
Advances the practice of system administration. It supports, recognizes, educates, and encourages its practitioners. It also serves the public through education and outreach on system administration issues.

Twin Cities IT Alumni Association (TCITAA)
Provides ongoing career enhancement workshops, opportunities to network with top employers and other IT professionals, and skill development seminars. Graduates with a degree, certificate, or diploma from Metropolitan State University or any Twin Cities-area state college are eligible to join at no cost.

USENIX, The Advanced Computing Systems Association
Fosters technical excellence and innovation, and supports and disseminates research with a practical bias. It provides a neutral forum for discussion of technical issues, and encourages computing outreach into the community at large.
