Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) is the highest level of technical networking certification offered by Cisco. For over fifteen years, CCIE has identified networking professionals with the highest level of expertise. Less than three percent of all Cisco certified professionals earn their CCIE. New Horizons of Minnesota¿s program is specific to the Routing & Switching certification however you may chose to pursue your CCIE in a number of other focus areas such as: Wireless, Voice, Security, or Mobile Testing. There are no formal prerequisites set by Cisco for CCIE certification. New Horizons of Minnesota hesitates to recommend this program to those without CCNA and CCNP level skills prior to attending. Other professional certifications or training courses are not required. Instead, candidates must first pass a written qualification exam and then the corresponding hands-on lab exam. You are expected to have an in-depth understanding of the topics in the exam blueprints and strongly encouraged to have three to five years of job experience before attempting certification.
