Organizations in the education industry provide academic, vocational, and technical instruction.
Educational establishments provide instruction and training in many different subjects. Schools may be privately or publicly owned and operated. Privately owned schools may operate for profit or not for profit. All public schools operate not for profit. Schools may offer food and accommodation services to students.
Teachers or instructors usually deliver educational services by explaining, telling, demonstrating, supervising, and direct learning. Learning takes place in diverse settings including educational institutions, the workplace, or by distance learning (or at home) through correspondence schools, television, Internet connections. Teachers often adapt their presentation to meet special needs of students. For example, teachers may use sign language to communicate with students who have hearing loss.
