File Clerks

File clerks classify, store, find, and update information.

File clerks examine incoming material and sort it according to an established order. A growing number of file clerks store information on computers, using scanners that read paper files and create electronic images of them for storage.

File Clerks are in the Business, Management, and Administration career cluster and the Administrative Support pathway.
