Surveyors

Surveyors measure and map land, air space, and water boundaries.

Surveyors determine official boundaries and write descriptions of land for deeds, leases, and other legal documents. For large projects, they increasingly use the Global Positioning System (GPS).

Surveyors are in the Architecture and Construction career cluster and the Design and Pre-Construction pathway.
