The license information below is specific to the state of Minnesota.
Description
License Requirements:
-An applicant for a Lineman license shall have at least four years' experience, acceptable to the board, in wiring for, installing, and repairing electrical wiring, apparatus, or equipment, including line work.
-There is no continuing education requirement as a condition of renewal for this license.
License Fees:
Application and examination fee - $35
License fee - $15 per year; two-year term, expiring on the anniversary date of initial issue.
Late fee - equal to one year's license fee in addition to full renewal fee if not renewed before 30 days after the expiration of the license.
Period:
Two years, expiring on the anniversary date of initial issue.
Determination:
Two years, expiring on the anniversary date of initial issue.
