Licensed Psychologist; Licensed Psychological Practitioner

The license information below is specific to the state of Minnesota.


Description

License Requirements:
LP:

-Doctoral degree with a major in psychology.

-EPPP exam.

-PRE exam.

-One year post degree supervised psychological employment.

License

Fees:
EPPP testing service - $500 plus test center fees

EPPP processing - $150

PRE application - $150

LP licensure application - $500

LP renewal - $500

LPP licensure application - $250

LPP renewal - $250


Period:
Two years.


Determination:
Computerized version of EPPP exams are available daily at PROMETRIC Centers throughout the state.

PRE exams are available monthly at the Board office.

Information regarding LLP licensure:

LLP licensure is being phased out, no one else is eligible to apply for new licensure as an LLP. On December 31st, 2011, LLP licensure in Minnesota will be eliminated. LLP license renewal will continue until then due to existing LLP's currently working towards conversion from LLP to LP licensure. (See Minn. Stat. 148.907, subd. 5 and 148.908).
